Every Day is a Gray Day in Social Media

Every Day is Gray in Social Media May 2, 2011

It’s a gray, rainy day here where I live, but sunshine and blue skies are blazing through my body as I wake up and contain my excitement to look at my twitter feed. I’m obsessed with the immediacy of sharing ideas with other professionals who want and need to succeed in their approach to business in the year 2011 (or read about breaking Osama Bin Laden news, but that’s yesterdays news). Why do we have such an innate need to feel like we belong and we’re accepted? It’s definitely an emotional appeal, and so is everything in business these days. The “gray” area of social media marketing is what makes it so unique. Gone are the days of blasting out information, it’s too easy to delete! Who is your target audience? If you tell me your targeting anyone with a 401(k) rollover I’m going to puke. That’s as broad as the green leaves on the Crumpety Tree.

If you need new and upcoming strategies to help you market your business, look no further. Social media is all a buzz, and with the compliance and regulatory issues surrounding the Financial Services industry, FAs are left to wonder what they really are and aren’t allowed to do. I don’t know how many times the press can over-use the word “viral” before I have to tweet about it, but I can assure you this…walking the grey area, in a way that is both accepted and encouraged by your own compliance department (yes, I used the word encouraged) is exactly what is going to put you ahead of your competition. Why are you not tapping the experts yet?

For what you pay in advertising fees, mailings and postage, we can help you create an entire e-marketing campaign with measurable results. So you sent out an email, to 400 clients, DO YOU KNOW WHO OPENED THAT EMAIL? Do you know who deleted it? Do you know who really wants to receive email from you and who doesn’t? Why not let us help you incorporate those time-tested prospecting techniques with the new media strategies today to build your business organically. What are you waiting for?
